That is sad indeed. I've known and loved Jerry for almost 40 years. He had a very special place in my and Cindy's world. Our most heartfelt condolences go to you, your mom, and the rest of the family.

What an honor it was to not only have known Jerry, but to be able to consider him a friend. He was exceptional. His humor, his admonishing and his always challenging was so refreshing and wonderful. Although he will be sorely missed, he will not be forgotten nor will he ever be away from our thoughts and prayers.
Please, if you need anything done at the Landing, don't even think about hesitating to ask. I am here till January 5th and am ready, willing and somewhat able to do anything that needs to be done.

I am sorry for the loss (yours and ours). We appreciate your sharing the news with us. Your dad has been very special to me. I have two aunts (one surviving at 103) who were also members of the Communist Party, back in the day. There aren’t/ weren’t many who would talk about that experience. I hope you plan to have a memorial service up north, here, so that we might be able to participate. Again, sorry for your loss.

Thank you for your note. Dolores had already told me; am greatly affected and grieving, especially
since Jerry was so charming and wonderful at dinner last night. What a shock. Count on me if anything is needed. I'll be in touch with Sylvia as soon as I can bare it.

I am so sorry Karl, and I am sure Sylvia is devastated. I just had some surgery on my eyelid and am forbidden to fly for a week,, so I don't think I can make the funeral. Maybe I can come for a memorial service. Oy, vei, This is too much for my dear friend, and you and your sisters. I know what a close family you are. Love and my condolences on your sudden loss of a very loving father, and good, interesting human being.

My sincere condolences. Jerry was a great guy with a sense of humor that was shared on many occasions. I liked him very much. I know both he and Sylvia were/are very proud of the adults their children came to be. I will send a note to your Mom. Having lost Marv to another heart related condition, I have some notion of the sadness your family is feeling today. With love from San Francisco:

So sorry to hear about Jerry. I'll give Sylvia a call after a couple of days. I'm sure she has enough to deal with at the moment. We'll be in touch.
All the best.
